“Time Flies”
I often see people on TV who look older even though they are actually much younger than me. “Why does he look so old for his age? Is he really as old as I am?” It made me realize that it is easy to notice the changes in other people’s life, but we often forget about our own. When I see my friends whom I have not seen for a while, I feel surprised because of the things around them have already changed so much over time; an acquaintance who has just completed his military service or my friend’s little daughter who has already grown up. All these people make me realize how fast time files in life. Time flies so fast that I do not even realize that I am getting older every day. In this regard, there is more than just an aging process that people do not notice about themselves. One’s attitudes, habits, and manners are great examples. This is why it is important to check oneself through the words of God as if we all check our faces on the mirror after each meal. It is possible to follow Jesus only through humbleness and serving attitudes, which results from self-monitoring not from criticism of others. This is not easy, but feasible through the guide of the Holy Spirit. Christ always takes cares of us, guides us, and loves us despite our weaknesses. May God bless us all so that we can enjoy the grace he provides for us daily in Jesus name.
"For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was." (James 1:23-24)
