I had a dream last night. My church members and I could not use our sanctuary for some reason, so we had to find a place to do a Sunday service. The place we found was an open space, so I was not even sure if we could go on. While I was praying, someone told me to start the service.
I began delivering God’s message, but there was absolutely no response, so I got out of the place and went to each corner of the streets to spread the Gospel. It seemed as if no one were able to hear me. I felt rather perplexed than mournful. As soon as I woke up, I prayed to God, “God, please allow a revival to this land. Wake these people up. Communities with faith should be firmly built. Wakes churches up. Wake IB church up. Please let our church members and their families be alert and pray to you. My church has been holding a campaign of “One Hour Prayer A Day”.
This is because there is no way we can win over this spiritual war without a prayer. There cannot be revivals in churches without prayers. My church has been trained with the word of God so far, so now it is time to train ourselves to pray. Without parents’ spiritual revival, there can be no revival in children’s lives. No revival in each home leads to no revival in churches.
Even a church community that is strongly based on the gospel will eventually lose its identity in God. Here, we should not be confused between a spiritual revival and a financial revival. We should pursue a spiritual revival that will quench our thirst now and forever. We should have hope in revival that will literally revive one’s spirit, which will save your significant others and yourself, parents and their children, and neighbors and nations. Not my will, but God’s will should be pursued in order to revive little embers of prayer.
Churches and myself that are full of worldly values and visually pleasant possessions should be recovered, which will help our children recover as well. A campaign of daily prayer will be a little ember to awaken our souls and our families’. When a little ember of prayer grows, both churches and families will be able to go forward without fear. The collapse of the Berlin Wall was resulted from a little prayer group. The 20thCentury Revival started from the prayer of confession of a few teenagers. Touches of this revival had stirred New Quay, Cardiganshire, Welsh, Pyung Yang, and so many others. All of these were done by those who were ‘prepared’ before God. Seemingly, they might have been no one at that time, but they trusted in God and continued praying.
Prayers revive individuals and families, and nations and countries. Even if people seem to block their ears when we spread the Gospel, we should make sure we keep praying as little embers for revival. Little embers from here and there will one day be put together to change the world, to prepare ourselves before Jesus’ 2nd coming, and to keep on providing strength we can hold onto until the last day. The world has limited us in church buildings for many years now so that we do not influence outside of the sanctuary. Now, the world limits us in each household so that we become energy less. In 1974, a million of Christians gathered together in Seoul Yoido Square , South Korea, only to cry out to God. This is something that we should yearn for as Christians.
I pray that each one of us stay alert to be set free from insincere faith and fake peace so that we can continue praying to God with desperation and thanksgiving in Jesus’ amazing name. God will use each one of us as a little seed to build his kingdom in the end.
“Restore our fortunes, Lord, like streams in the Negev. Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out
weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.” (Psalms 126:4-6)
