“Why Me!!!!?”

The true beginning of one’s spiritual journey should start from finding Jesus. Regular attendance at church does not guarantee anything, for only true Jesus followers can meet and experience Christ. Unfortunately, people have too many other reasons why they seek Christ. As we see in the bible and in church, not only Jesus had a great number of followers, but also the church leaders have had. The problem is that most of the Jesus followers worship all different ...types of idols in their daily lives without acknowledging it. Christ said in the bible that it is a reality that there are many people who follow him for wrong reasons: pursuit of material possessions, physical well-being, and blessings. A great number of people consider themselves a ‘real Christian’, yet they prioritize their prosperous and stable life rather than pay attention to what Christ speaks to their heart: Righteousness, love, sharing, dedication and so on. All of the wrong or distorted reasons for following Christ lead people to experience a spiritual frustration or failure despite one’s position in church. Gospel follows pursuit of material possessions and fame and love, not vice versa, which blurs Christians’ focus on Christ. May God help you stay focused and strong only in Christ today.
