"A Man with Leprosy and His Desperation"

Many of you must have at least one experience in life when you limit your prayer based on your current circumstances. Some may not even consider praying about a certain issue because it simply seems impossible for one’s limited situation. “This should be enough.. I don’t deserve this much at this present time… Maybe next time.” Even some devout Christians do this sometimes. When was the last time you prayed to God with your sincere he...art for who you are. When was the last time you kneeled down before God with a prayer petition with desperation? This morning, a prayer of a man with leprosy struck my heart. “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Unlike this man with faith, we often pray to God according to what we have, who we are, and where we are in life. Some of us pay more attention to choosing a divine word to pray with before God rather than talking to God with a sincere heart. This is wrong. This type of prayer limits God’s ability to the level of my capability that is very limited. In this sense, the prayer of this man with leprosy should be ours. His prayer relies only on Christ and his will, not his. His prayer is not about himself, but about God. His desperate prayer request moved the heart of the Christ. Jesus said to him, "Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would,” and his servant was healed at that moment. I pray that your heart begins fluttering pleasantly for God again this morning when praying in Jesus amazing name. Amen.

"And Jesus put forth [his] hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed."(Matthew 8:3)
