People usually have motivation to do anything. Some motivations are created on the spot like a reflex or self-defence, but they are still motivations that come from one’s heart. Depending on where your heart is, you speak and act differently.
Without a heart, people can neither have good thoughts nor do good things. In fact, everything flows from the heart. Even when people seem to work hard, they may only pretend to be that way if they have no heart for it. Without loving someone with all your heart, you may seem to have a fake love. Without a true heart, things cannot be genuine.
Therefore, everything grows from our heart. When you like someone, you will like everything she does, but if you don’t like someone, everything he does will not satisfy you. This is all because of what you have in your heart. In this regard, it is one of the most crucial things to guard your heart because everything you do flows from it. What you feel in your hearts often depends largely on what you see. Your main focus decides what you think, feel and what you do. Thus, we should not be fulfilled with what we have in this life. Our focus should be on the heavenly things such as truth and spiritual well-being. This is a key to a faithful life, which is possible only when you focus and meditate on the word of God.
We, Christians, should see what is not seen and believe what we cannot touch through the word of God. This will certainly make you experience the fruit of the spirit and answers to your prayers. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His wonderful history continues through us who have faith in Jesus and we will enjoy God who keeps his promise.
“Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
(Colossians 3:22~23)
