“Be Set Free!”
What do you think self-esteem is? Literal meaning of it is a respectful mind towards yourself that helps you stay elegant. What do you think a feeling of inferiority is? It is defined as a mind that underestimates yourself or think of yourself unworthy. If one continues to have a feeling of inferiority, his/her self-esteem becomes low. This is because a feeling of inferiority and a low self-esteem usually go together. I used to live a life with a distorted self...-esteem when I was a young adult. It was such a bruised ego that made me arrogant, believing that my haughty attitude will defend my self-value. My bruised ego let me get some guts, but I later realized that it was my feeling of inferiority and low self-esteem that made me. My low self-esteem and a bruised ego kept on telling me to become perfect and be always cautious of others. I did not know then why I had a vicious life cycle regardless of my continuous hard work. My soul got withered and withered as much as I strived to live better, which was strange. One day, while having been struggling, I became known to God. I met Jesus in person. He made me realize he loves more than anything in the world while even I cannot stand myself. God has sent me his only begotten son for my sin. As soon as I met Jesus and realized his unconditional love for me, I was given a new purpose and value of my life. When I understand that God embraced me already, I was able to let things go and was set free. As soon as I was born again as God’s precious son, my feeling of inferiority and a bruised ego were gone completely. My pain in the past was finally healed. This is the secret of the gospel. This is God’s amazing love and grace for us, which was proven through Jesus’ crucifixion on the cross. Thus, we have to be always awake through prayers. This is because we often get lied through thick and thin in our daily life, which can deprive us from our ultimate freedom in Jesus. I pray that each every one of us is set free in Jesus through the secret of the gospel in Jesus’ graceful name.
“Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel” (Ephesians 6:18-19)
